Today i decided to bring the kids to do volunteering with me as there is no one to take care of them and i guessed i made the right choice. Firstly it is not as difficult as i imagine because the kids are so cooperative. They help out with the cleaning and truly enjoy it, Leshay told me she wanted to join again the next time. Hopefully they can wake up in time because i had a hard time dragging them out of bed this morning.
I am glad we manage to make uncle Lee grin because nothing is better then seeing a frail old man smile to the corners of his teeth.
He might not have the quality of life anymore but if the remaining quantity of time he can spend it happily then this period of time might be the best of his life.
He thanked all the volunteer and said there was nothing he could do to repay us and only could repay us next life. It was such an emotional statement because i felt his gratefulness. It made me recall the time when i went to Batam's orphanage and they bid us goodbye with the song Heal the World. Oh my goodness man, my tears never stop flowing because i felt their eagerness to be loved.
Looking forward to my next volunteering work already and I hope i can make another person's day. It is very simple just open up your heart and hang your smile.
Yesterday i made another decision to bring the kids out for picnic alone, again it wasn't so hard as i thought. the place was kids friendly, weather was good, meet with a kind lady who help me to queue up getting the kids goodies bag, there are kind people everywhere and if u haven't meet yours then maybe its because you haven open up your heart enough.
The kids enjoy the picnic so much that they did not want to head home!
we finally reach home at about 12am LOL. transportation by MRT took a lot of our time.
Elton met us at the mrt and we have a nice stroll back.
